Kelsey Creek Invasive Management

Sterling Marine was contracted by the City of Bellevue to Inject Japanese Knotweed plants with Aquamaster, an algaecide approved in the State of Washington, to prevent the spread of the invasive plants along Kelsey Creek in Bellevue, WA. Phase one of this multi-year project was completed in early september of 2013. The target areas have already shown signs of decay. Sterling Marine’s licensed applicators used an injection gun to inject each plant with a specific amount of the algaecide. This method is not only extremely successful, but also environmentally friendly as there is no overspray like there would be if the plants were sprayed.
